Summer is finally here, and you’re probably wondering what types of treatments are best in the hot summer months? We have a list of our favorites that will reveal your summer glow!
First and foremost- we can’t love HydraFacial more. This facial is highly moisturizing and uses proprietary technology to infuse serums and remove impurities from the skin. This will address skin concerns including dullness, dehydration, clogged pores, uneven skin tone or texture, and wrinkles leaving you with vibrant, glowing skin. Have an event coming up? Add on a dermaplane for smooth, picture-perfect makeup application.
Another treatment to address dull, tired skin is Microneedling. Using the FDA-approved SkinPen, microneedling is a process where small needles are used to penetrate the outer layer of the skin, which induces a healing response. Also called “collagen induction therapy,” this process will help to treat enlarged pores, dullness, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as scarring. It’s a perfect way to get glowy, beautiful skin.
We can’t forget injectables! Fillers can help balance a face or enhance certain areas- like your lips! Our expert injectors will give you a full face assessment prior to treatment to be sure that you have a natural-appearing, gorgeous result. Botox is a neuromodulator that changes your muscle action, used primarily to treat skin wrinkles (although we use it for many other reasons too!). Botox is safe to get in the summer, and the treatment is not affected by sun exposure. While the treatment is not affected by the sun, damaging UV rays remain our greatest source of aging! This means that getting Botox and not wearing sunscreen would be like buying a new wardrobe and washing it in bleach with hot water! You will end up with older, damaged skin- so keep up that sunscreen every day to protect your investment.
Lastly, summer is the best time to get your consults done, prepare a treatment plan, and schedule the treatments for the fall. We tend to be very busy come September- so best to plan ahead and get your treatments scheduled now!
See you soon!
